Meet The Owner

hey, i’m erin

My name is Erin Souza and I am a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, and a Registered Dental Hygienist. I have been in the healthcare industry for over a decade and my passion for helping others has always been a part of me since I was a little girl.

I’ve always considered myself a health and wellness enthusiast, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I truly understood what being “healthy” actually meant. I had little awareness of how food, ingredients, and lifestyle choices impacted my body — as long as I felt okay and liked how I looked, I didn’t think much beyond that.

how it started

After having children, I became increasingly disconnected from my body and its signals. In 2016, I made the decision to get breast implants, not realizing that this choice would later become a significant environmental trigger for my health. Over time, fatigue, weight gain, skin issues, and inflammation became constant struggles.

In 2018, I discovered Breast Implant Illness and made the decision to explant through en bloc surgery — a turning point that opened my eyes to how deeply environmental and internal stressors can impact the body.

Despite explanting, my health continued to decline. I accumulated diagnosis after diagnosis — hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, autoimmune disease, anxiety — and felt trapped in a cycle of labels and medications that never addressed why my body was struggling.

Like many women I now work with, I was told my labs were “manageable” and my symptoms were something I would just need to live with.

In early 2021, I reached a breaking point and decided to pursue formal education in functional and root-cause medicine — not just to help others, but to finally understand my own body.

Through functional lab testing, I uncovered imbalances and patterns that had never appeared on standard bloodwork. With a personalized, natural protocol, I was able to address underlying issues rather than chase symptoms.

Over time, my autoimmune disease went into remission, my energy and digestion improved, and I was able to fully participate in life again. Experiencing this level of healing firsthand reshaped how I view health — and fertility.

I came to understand that the same imbalances that disrupt energy, hormones, and immunity can also interfere with conception — often long before they are labeled as a fertility problem.

I know what it feels like to be disconnected from your body, to grieve the version of yourself you thought you’d be, and to search endlessly for answers. That lived experience is what guides my work today.

My goal is to help women uncover the hidden root causes affecting their health and fertility, understand their body’s signals, and make informed decisions with clarity and confidence. I believe healing begins with awareness — and that when we learn to trust and support the body, it can do incredible things.

when I’m not working…

When I’m not immersed in my career, I’m spending time with my husband and our two children — a role that continually reminds me why this work matters. I’m a lifelong learner who’s always expanding my education, and I value time outdoors as a way to reset and reconnect.

Music is still one of my favorite ways to unwind — especially anything from the 80s — and it’s a reminder that healing doesn’t have to be rigid or joyless.

If you’re ready to better understand your body and take a more informed approach to your health or fertility, I’d love to connect.

While bloodwork provides valuable insights into your health, it primarily focuses on extracellular levels—the substances circulating in your bloodstream at the time of the test. It offers a snapshot of your current state, which can be influenced by various factors like recent meals or stress levels. Think of it as capturing a single frame of a movie.

Whereas, the HTMA, instead of focusing solely on the extracellular levels, it takes a deep dive into your intracellular levels—the substances stored within your cells over the past 3-4 months. It offers a more comprehensive and long-term perspective, like watching the entire movie rather than just a single frame.
